Under 18s

Under 18's have had a good start to the season with 2 wins and 1 loss. The first win was against Devonport and it was pleasing as it was he first time the team had played an actual game together.

In the second week we came up against the yardstick of the competition, Launceston. We won by about 4 goals thanks to a great first quarter, but what was pleasing is when we were challenged be held firm especially when we got some injuries and fatigue was setting in during the last quarter. Last week was our first loss against South Launceston purely due to a sluggish start, which we attribute to the early start.

The positive part of of the loss is how the team regrouped after halftime (5 goals down) to play the footy the way we know we can and if we had kicked straight We would of been in front at 3 quarter time. The team fought it out in the last quarter against the wind, but couldn't hold the very good South Team at bay.

We have a bye his week and then play Hutchins at windsor park at 12pm, which should be another good test for us.
