Seniors Update

The 2011 Senior Team consists of some highly experienced players, and a blend of our young and up and coming players of the future. This combination, along with our new recruits has resulted in a great team of players who respect and work well together as a team.

Summary to date

Seven weeks in 4 wins and 3 losses’ is this good enough or not? If you ask a coach then the obvious answer would be that we gave up 3 good quarters to lose to Glenorchy (40pts) at home then traveled to Burnie and have them on the ropes at half time only to be belted in the second half by 44 points. No excuses by anyone against Launceston (97pts) one of the worst performances a lot of us had been involved in. All is not lost, fourth on the ladder, once a week training on Aurora stadium and some excellent signs of players starting to understand what is needed to be competitive against the top sides and what we are able to do to the sides that are below us on the ladder.

For the record so far we have played 30 different players in the seniors with 8 of them under the age of 19 a clear indication of a club supporting both the present and the future of statewide football.

Whilst we are only just 7 games in our win against North Hobart
