The crowd were on their feet and the players were ecstatic when the siren sounded which saw the Bombers have a great win over Burnie by 5 points.
The Bombers got off to a great start with Allan O'Sign kicking two quick goals. Burnie responded with 4 goals and at half time the Dockers lead by 1 point. Their lead increased to 13 in the third quarter, but the boys rallied in the last quarter with Darren Crawford kicking a brilliant goal after gathering it from the Centre, and Paul O'Shea taking a strong mark and goaling to increase the lead. Burnie were not going to give up and a goal narrowed the margin to 3 points. The bombers fought on kicking a further two points. The final five minutes of the game had everyone on the edge of their seats; it was a test of fitness as both teams fought hard for the ball. This is an excellent win for the team as we head into the second half of the season.
Congratulations also to the Colts on their convincing win earlier in the day - 106 to 29.
